I absolutely love cowls. They are my favourite thing to wear in the winter. When I designed my crossed cowl I wanted it to be warm and cosy with  a mixture of different chunky textured stitches. I used Scheepjes Chunky Monkey yarn which is a silky Aran yarn in gorgeous shades of blue.

This cowl I called the Autumnal Cowl as I wanted it to represent all the different weather patterns of the autumn Welsh weather. So we have grey skies, heavy and light rain and just a bit of sunshine in between. I made this using the very lovely Stylecraft Bellisima DK yarn.

I wanted to create a bright and colourful pair of finger less mitts. These mitts are made from 9 starburst circles. They are then joined with a continuous join (less ends to sew in !) A nice and quick make!

I designed this blanket for a very special baby called Jonah. I thought the whale applique was perfect for this blanket. I also created a matching little whale squishy to go with it. The blanket is mostly a simple granny square blanket with an ombre effect band throughout.  The whale applique is then make separately and then sewn on.

I then finished the blanket with a wave border.

I made this rainbow decoration to hang in my window during these difficult times.

I strung 3 of these together with the addition of some rainbow pompoms. (I had forgotten how therapeutic is it to make pompoms!)

After seeing all the lovely rainbows on Facebook this week I decided to create my own version. (Slightly adapted from the one I created for the unicorn dreams blanket).

I used 2 strands of Stylecraft Special DK but you could use Aran or Chunky yarn .
